 Lance Strauss
Lance earned his undergraduate degree in Management Science from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis Maryland. While most Academy graduates continue onto the fleet after graduation, Lance instead was selected for the Academy’s “IGEP” (Immediate Graduate Education Program). In that program, he attended the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California where he obtained a Master’s Degree in Management. Completing graduate school, Lance went onto complete his service obligation as a Naval Aviator. As a Navy Pilot, he flew missions world-wide in the P-3 Orion long-range reconnaissance aircraft. Following his fleet duty, Lance spent 2 years in Corpus Christi, TX as a Naval Flight Instructor. Upon leaving the Navy, Lance was involved in a number of various start-up businesses, one of which became the largest provider of consumer oriented 900 number telephone services in the country, with over 65,000 customers in the United States and Canada. Recognized as knowledgeable small business expert, “Inc.” magazine asked Lance to develop and present a series of business plan and venture capital seminars for its readership. When his assignment for “Inc.” was completed, Lance realized his true calling was that of being a public speaker and thus began his current 16 year public speaking career. Since 1989, Lance has given over 1,000 lectures world-wide on a variety of financial and business topics. Additionally, his business activities have been written up in dozens of newspapers including “USA Today” and “Entrepreneur” and he has been interviewed on over 100 radio and television talk shows. He’s been a real estate investor since 1975.
